After the vacation, we had to argue with the Royalton customer service team just to get a refund of the difference between the room values for that first night - no other compensation was offered for the situation. We had to wait until 5pm the next day to move into the room we had actually paid for (penthouse with terrace). It also meant that during the day our room was blasted with the sound of the poolside trivia games which really is not the relaxing environment all the Hideaway materials advertise.
